About Lab-Grown Diamonds
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are 100% real diamonds — chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. They are composed of pure carbon in a cubic crystal structure, score 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, and cannot be distinguished from mined diamonds by standard diamond testers. The only difference is origin: lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled scientific facilities over weeks rather than underground over millions of years.
How much cheaper are lab-grown diamonds compared to natural diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds are typically 50–70% less expensive than mined diamonds of identical cut, colour, clarity, and carat weight. A 1.0 Ct IGI-certified round brilliant lab-grown diamond that might cost ₹3,00,000 as a mined stone is available as a lab-grown diamond for approximately ₹85,000–₹1,20,000. The price difference is due to a shorter, more efficient supply chain — not any difference in the diamond itself.
Are lab-grown diamonds a good investment?
Lab-grown diamonds are best viewed as luxury goods rather than financial investments — their retail value has declined significantly since 2020 as production scaled. However, the jewellery itself — the craftsmanship, the gold or platinum setting, the design — retains value. Buyers who prioritise owning a larger, more brilliant certified diamond within their budget will find lab-grown diamonds exceptional value.
What is the difference between lab-grown and mined diamonds?
Both are 100% real diamonds with identical chemical composition (pure carbon), crystal structure, hardness, and brilliance. The only difference is origin: mined diamonds form underground over millions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are cultivated in controlled scientific environments over a few weeks. This shorter, more efficient production process is why lab-grown diamonds cost significantly less, not because of any difference in quality or authenticity.

Certification & Quality
Are your lab-grown diamonds certified? Which grading laboratories do you use?
Yes — every diamond we sell is independently certified, graded by either IGI (International Gemological Institute) or GLI. Your certificate confirms the diamond's exact 4Cs (Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat) and ships with your order alongside the physical piece.
How do I verify my IGI diamond certificate?
Visit report.igi.org and enter the report number printed on your IGI certificate. The IGI database will display your diamond's exact 4Cs specifications within seconds — free of charge, from anywhere in the world. Your diamond also has this report number laser-inscribed on its girdle, which can be verified under magnification.
What is BIS Hallmark gold? Are your gold jewellery pieces hallmarked?
Yes — every Inasha Diamonds piece is set in BIS Hallmark certified gold or 950 platinum. BIS Hallmark is India's official gold purity certification, issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards. It guarantees the stated purity of the gold (9K, 14K, or 18K) and includes a unique HUID number verifiable at bis.gov.in.
Metals, Sizing & Customisation
Can I choose 9K, 14K, or 18K gold?
Yes. Every design is available across all three gold purities: 18K (75% pure gold — the richest colour and highest intrinsic value), 14K (58.5% pure — a durable, popular mid-range choice), and 9K (37.5% pure — the most affordable and hardest-wearing option for everyday jewellery).
Do you offer 950 platinum?
Yes. In addition to 9K, 14K, and 18K gold, most designs are also available in 950 platinum — a naturally white, dense metal that never needs replating and is especially well suited to rings worn daily.
Can I choose yellow, white, or rose gold?
Yes. Each gold purity (9K, 14K, 18K) is available in yellow, white, and rose gold, so you can match the piece to your preferred metal tone regardless of which purity or design you choose.
Can I customize diamond carat size?
Yes. Most designs let you select carat weight directly on the product page, with pricing updating automatically for your chosen size. For carat weights or configurations outside the standard options shown, our Custom Order service can accommodate a fully bespoke specification.
Do you offer engraving?
Yes, engraving is available on request. Please note that engraved, personalised, or custom-made pieces are excluded from our standard 15-day return window (see our return policy below), as they're made specifically for you.
What ring sizes do you offer?
Ring sizes are shown per product and follow the Indian ring-size numbering system (typically ranging from size 7 to 22 depending on the design), which differs from US/UK sizing. If you're ordering from outside India and aren't sure of your size in this system, our Size Chart page has a conversion guide, or you can contact us directly for help matching your size.
Can I get a diamond ring custom made?
Yes. Inasha Diamonds offers fully custom diamond jewellery design. You can choose your diamond shape, carat weight, cut, colour and clarity grade, metal type (9K/14K/18K gold or 950 platinum), and setting style. Visit our Custom Order page to submit your requirements.
How long does a customized order take?
Fully custom/bespoke design orders are typically completed within 15–21 working days. Made-to-order pieces (standard catalogue designs in a size or configuration not currently in stock) take 15–25 business days per our Shipping Policy. Exact timelines depend on design complexity and are confirmed with you at the time of order.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship to the USA and UK?
Yes. Inasha Diamonds ships internationally to the USA, UK, and 27 other countries, via secure, insured, and trackable international courier services.
Do you offer free insured shipping?
Shipping within India is completely free and fully insured, with in-stock orders arriving in 5–7 working days and made-to-order pieces in 15–25 business days. International shipping is insured and trackable at a flat rate of USD $60 per shipment, regardless of order size.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We offer a 15-day return and exchange policy on standard catalogue pieces, provided the item is returned in its original packaging with tags, certificate, and stickers intact, and shows no signs of wear or alteration. Engraved, personalised, or custom-made jewellery is not eligible for this standard return window.
What is your exchange policy?
Standard pieces can be exchanged within 15 days of delivery under the conditions above. If a piece has already been exchanged once under this policy, any further exchange is governed by our separate Lifetime Exchange Policy. Once your returned item passes quality inspection, exchange orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days, with the replacement delivered in a further 7–10 business days.
Do you provide diamond certificates?
Yes — every diamond ships with its own individual IGI or GLI certificate, verifying its authenticity and exact specifications.
